Her Journey
Mary Njoki was a mother, a friend, and a familiar face in the Changamwe community — a woman whose warmth made everyone feel like family.
On the 7th of July 2026, she was involved in a tragic hit-and-run accident in Changamwe and was rushed to Coast General Hospital for emergency care. On the 1st of August 2026 she was transferred to Mewa Hospital — arriving still sound of mind and full of hope.
Yet her condition soon began to deteriorate, and she was moved to the Intensive Care Unit. For 27 days Mary fought with quiet courage, surrounded by the prayers of those who loved her. She has now gone to be with the Lord. She fought well, and she rests now.
We, her family, are now preparing to give her the dignified send-off she deserves — and we are humbly turning to friends, relatives, and well-wishers to help us close the hospital bill and lay her to rest.
